378 People Pay It Forward' At Starbucks

I love it when this stuff happens!
A chain of nearly 400 people 'paid it forward' at a Starbucks drive-thru.
It started at about 7 a.m. yesterday, when a woman in her mid-60s ordered an iced coffee from the drive-thru at a St. Petersburg, Florida, Starbucks and offered to pay for a caramel macchiato ordered by the person behind her.

For the next 11 hours, customers kept it going, paying for the people behind them.

When customers pulled up to the window to pick up their orders, they were informed that their drinks were already paid for and asked if they would return the favor. According to the store manager, 378 consecutive customers did, shattering the store's previous record of 141.

Now, 378 pay-it-forward customers is impressive - but it doesn't beat the record holder, which started last year at a Starbucks on the Berlin Turnpike in Newington, Connecticut, on Christmas Eve.

1,468 customers "paid it forward" during that run, which lasted more than four days.
